ACCI is proud and honored to announce that our courses are now available within the Albanian Correctional System (General Directorate of 
Prisons – Albania).
Under the leadership of Director Klotilda Kareci, the Albanian Correctional System is shifting its approach to incarceration from a traditional punitive approach to rehabilitation. This rehabilitative approach places a stronger emphasis on providing education, programs, and resources to individuals that are detained in their correctional facilities, which would help reduce recidivism rates after release from prison. There is still much work that remains to identify funding, training, and programs.
The General Directorate of Prisons in Albania has obtained a License To Reprint from ACCI, and will also work to translate a few
of the courses into the Albanian language. The courses that are included in this initial license are:
- Offender Corrections
- Substance Abuse
- Sex Offender
- Employment
- Domestic Violence
ACCI will provide training and ongoing support to help adapt the self-directed and hybrid programs to meet the needs of management, staff, and the incarcerated population.
